What is Ultrakill?
ULTRAKILL is a lightning-fast retro first-person shooter that blends the movement freedom of classic arena shooters with a unique blood-powered healing mechanic that actively rewards aggressive close-range combat. You play as a machine harvesting human blood for fuel, and the fundamental design hook is that staying close to enemies and dealing damage at point-blank range restores your health — creating a core tension between the safety of distance and the survival reward of dangerous proximity. The movement system is extraordinarily fluid: standard running, dashing, and jumping combine with a slide maneuver that can be chained into a ground-slam for vertical momentum transfer, and a parry system lets you deflect projectiles back at enemies for amplified damage if timed correctly within a narrow frame window. The weapon roster encourages constant switching: the piercing pistol generates coin ricochet shots that deal quadruple damage when shot mid-air, the shotgun's pump-action variant functions as a close-range devastating blast and a momentum-boosting rocket if fired at the ground, and the railcannon charges a one-shot beam that deals percentage-based damage against boss health pools. Enemy design is built around deliberate challenge: standard enemies telegraph attacks with readable wind-up animations, while boss encounters layer multiple attack patterns that require understanding and countering individual phases. A style-grade system evaluates and displays your combat quality in real time — S-rank play requires using multiple weapons, movement options, and the parry system simultaneously.
ULTRAKILL Unblocked – Fast FPS Available Free in Browser
A browser-accessible version of ULTRAKILL runs without download or installation, requiring only a modern desktop browser with WebGL support. The full game is available on Steam in Early Access for complete content. This version covers the game's primary mechanics and early levels. Desktop mouse and keyboard play is essential — ULTRAKILL's skill ceiling demands the precision of a mouse for aiming and keyboard for the movement system; controller play is possible but mouse control is strongly recommended for parry timing. The game runs at 60+ FPS in most modern browsers.
Combat Guide — How to S-Rank Every Encounter in ULTRAKILL
S-rank requires variety in kills, not just speed. The style system degrades rapidly if you use the same weapon for more than two consecutive kills, so actively cycle your loadout even when one weapon is clearly optimal for the current enemy type. The coin mechanic is the highest-DPS option in the game: throw a coin, shoot it mid-air with the pistol to ricochet to the nearest enemy, then shoot it again before it lands for a second ricochet — each ricochet deals quadruple base damage. Blood regeneration requires proximity: standing further than ten meters from an enemy provides zero regeneration. The parry window on incoming projectiles is 0.1–0.2 seconds before impact — practice on the game's slower projectile enemies before attempting parries against faster boss attacks.
