Undead Invasion

Undead Invasion is a wave-based zombie survival game where you defend a fortified position against escalating hordes of the undead using a combination of direct combat, strategic placement of defensive structures, and resource management. Each wave announces itself with a brief preparation phase where you spend earned resources on barricades, automated turrets, landmines, and weapon upgrades before the zombie swarm begins. The zombies themselves diversify as waves progress: slow shamblers open the early game and are manageable individually, but the introduction of sprinting infected in wave five, armored tanks in wave ten, and explosive bloaters in wave fifteen forces constant defensive adaptation. Your personal weapon loadout starts with a basic assault rifle and expands through a currency system that rewards headshots and multi-kill combos with bonus drops. Turret placement involves meaningful spatial decisions — a turret covering a wide approach is generally superior to one guarding a single chokepoint, but resource scarcity forces prioritization of only two to three defensive positions per wave. A leveling system between waves offers choice upgrades: increased fire rate, explosive ammo for the current weapon, or faster barricade repair speed. Survival extends through ten standard difficulty waves before unlocking an endless mode where the zombie density and variant mix become increasingly unreasonable, and high scores are measured in longest survival time against the infinite horde.

Undead Invasion is an HTML5 browser game that runs on any modern device without downloads, plugins, or accounts. Its wave-based structure means each play session is self-contained and takes 15–30 minutes for a full ten-wave run, making it suitable for structured breaks. Browser local storage saves your highest wave reached and upgrade unlock state between sessions. Desktop mouse and keyboard play provides the most precise aiming for the headshot bonus system; mobile touch controls work with an on-screen joystick and fire button layout, though precision aiming is more challenging.

Turret positioning is the most impactful single decision in Undead Invasion. Identify the two longest approach corridors on the current map and place turrets at the two-thirds distance mark — close enough to have good accuracy but far enough that zombies spend more time in the fire zone before reaching your position. Against armored tanks in wave ten and beyond, switch to the shotgun for point-blank engagement and save explosive ammo for the bloaters specifically — their detonation damages nearby zombies, making them a crowd-control tool if you trigger their explosion in the middle of a cluster. In endless mode, prioritize fire rate upgrades over damage — at high wave counts, there are simply too many zombies for single-target damage to matter, and fire rate multiplies effective DPS across the board.
